Crafter Guitar Shops
Crafter Guitars was founded by HyunKwon Park in 1972 in the basement of his own house, with four staff working in a tiny space. The company initially worked on creating classical guitars for the Korean market, however these instruments were of such a high quality that Crafter quickly earned a name for itself with many trying to import the guitars from Korea to the US and Europe. Obviously working in a basement meant that demands could not be filled so Crafter Guitars moved to a larger building located in the Yangju-gun region. The company began making guitars that would sell better in a Western market and hence the namer Crafter was born, a brand to sell guitarst to the United States and Europe under. They recently opened a new factory in 2000 which is a seven-thousand square metre building on a twelve thousand metre site, and it is filled with the latest hi-tech innovations enabling the company to continue producing stunning instruments.
Crafter guitars are now sold in more than 30 countries and in 2001 the United Kingdom was declared the worlds largest market for the company taking more than ten thousand guitars a year. Quanitity is not the objective of Crafter Guitars, they place a great emphasis on quality and ensuring that only the finest instruments leave their factory. They are only allowed to be played when they have passed a rigorous series of quality checks. InJae Park joining
Crafter was a most significant step for the company because,
like his father, he has a talent for designing good guitars
and a love for building them. He has developed and designed
many new models that are protected by patents in Europe and
the USA. InJae Park believes
that building Crafter instruments of the highest quality, of the best
value, listening to the needs of the market and providing
a continuous supply is the way to continue the progress and
success that Crafter is enjoying throughout the world today.
