Indie Guitar Shops
The name 'Indie' comes from the word 'Independent' and the company feels that this sums up their guitars perfectly. 'Indie'
was originally a name given to small independent record labels in the
UK and then subsequently became a name given to the style of music
played by 'cool' guitar influenced bands. As their website explains... "Indie or Independent
… meaning - separate and different from the rest, non-corporate, free
of mind and free to express oneself as an individual.. Free to express
an Independent attitude .. But without being categorised. " This certainly sums up their own unique guitars! At Indie they lovingly craft their guitars and amplifiers with this same belief. The company prides themselves on their products being aimed squarely at a musician who wants
'quality' guitars that play well, look cool and are affordable. Their
customer base is usually an Indie (Independent) type person… a musician
or individual that is free of mind and chooses not to follow the
masses!
Indie have recently made a number of groundbreaking decisions with their guitars. Indie quickly realised that they had just created the beginnings of a range of guitars and equipment that they as muscians had always wanted to own; high quality but affordable, and vowed that future guitars that will leave their workshop would be manufactured with the same love and affection as the very first model produced. The team at Indie had a real passion for music and an understanding of how it feels to play and hear great guitars and an understanding that guitars are tools through which the musician can express their own individual creativity. The team also decided to remain independent and only produce their own products in their own factories. This commitment to a unique philosphy ensures that Indie will promise to create unique designs for the future.
