Left Handed Guitars
A section for all of you lefties out there! Whilst many will argue that left handed people should learn to play the guitar in a manner similar to a right handed person this is simply not practical for many hobbyists and musicians. The left handed guitar has been something of a god-send for many and although you will often pay a premium (the left handed guitar is produced in far smaller numbers) for most players it is worth the extra money and shopping around to get an instrument they can play comfortably. Quite simply the left handed guitar is identical to a "standard" instrument except that it is reversed so that a left handed person can play the guitar by strumming with their dominant (left) hand and fretting notes with their right hand.
Whilst many famous players (notably Jimi Hendrix but there have been others) simply used a right handed guitar with the strings reversed to play in a left handed style this is not generally a wise move unless you wish to scratch the face of your guitar when strumming (the pick guard and fingerboard will be on the top rather than the bottom of the guitar). Whatever type of instrument you are looking for we are confident that you will be able to find it on our website. We wish you the best of luck in your search, happy strumming!
